A gnat, feeling tired, landed on the horn of a bull to rest.
After resting enough, the gnat said to the bull, “I’m leaving now. I’ve been resting on your horn. You must have felt heavy and tired, but now I’m leaving, so you can relax.”
The bull replied, “It doesn’t matter. If you hadn’t said anything, I wouldn’t have even known you were on my horn, let alone felt any weight.”
This story teaches us that we often think too highly of ourselves, much more important than we appear to others.
The less knowledge we have, the narrower our thinking, and the more arrogant we become.
