To explain how Cinderella learned magic, we have to start with a particular event.
Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters often made her do hard labor and didn’t allow her to have enough food or warm clothes.
One winter night, she was washing clothes one after another, and her hands were so cold they cracked.
She couldn’t help but shed tears from the pain, and being both hungry and cold, she began to cry.
The birds and trees in the garden were her friends, but despite their desperate attempts to comfort her, it was to no avail.
At this moment, a fairy happened to pass by, and Cinderella’s heart-wrenching sobs made her stop.
She quickly understood the situation and walked over to Cinderella, saying, “Don’t cry, my dear, look…”
With a wave of her magic wand, a table full of sumptuous dishes appeared before their eyes.
With another point of her wand, Cinderella’s clothes transformed into thick, warm cotton garments, and her cracked hands were healed.
Cinderella was so astonished that she couldn’t speak.
The fairy said, “Hurry and eat. After you finish, whatever else you need, I will grant it to you.”
Cinderella asked, “Will you really grant me anything? I only want one thing: I want to learn magic from you.”
The fairy was a bit surprised and said, “Learning magic is a tough and exhausting endeavor. Can you endure it?”
“What is that compared to the hardship and toil I endure now? I am sure I will learn diligently.”
Seeing the determination in Cinderella’s eyes, the fairy agreed.
As time went by, the fairy found that Cinderella was serious and diligent in learning magic.
Thus, she taught Cinderella without reservation, and Cinderella made even faster progress.
