The Snow Demon

This time, the Queen sent the Snow Demon to kill Snow White.

The Snow Demon said, “Don’t worry! I am the Snow Demon; if I don’t freeze her to death, I’ll at least freeze her stiff!”

The Snow Demon knew Snow White would be visiting the dwarfs, so he waited for her in the forest.

Sure enough, soon Snow White came to the forest, sneezing as she walked past the Snow Demon.

The Snow Demon coldly said, “What? Passing by without saying hello?”

Snow White turned around and said, “You startled me! If you hadn’t spoken, I wouldn’t have noticed you were a person. Why are you as white as snow?”

The Snow Demon’s eyes glinted with a cold light. “Because I am the Snow Demon! Look at you, constantly sneezing; you must be freezing. To tell you the truth, this heavy snow is my doing.”

“So, you are the Snow Demon? And you can make such heavy snow, that’s amazing! No wonder it’s sunny outside the forest, but a blizzard as soon as I step in. To be honest, I was born in the snowy winter, so I’m called Snow White.”

Snow White’s face flushed with excitement.

But the Snow Demon was displeased. He waved his hand, and the snow fell even harder.

“Now, even if you don’t die, you’ll be frozen stiff!”

As he turned around, he saw Snow White building a snowman.

“This heavy snow is perfect for making a snowman. Look, doesn’t it look like you?”

Seeing that Snow White didn’t mind the cold, the Snow Demon grew even angrier.

He thought to himself, she’s not afraid of the cold because of that thick cloak she’s wearing.

He was about to stir up a storm to blow away Snow White’s cloak, but saw Snow White taking off her cloak.

“Running around building a snowman is making me feel hot.”

The Snow Demon was completely furious.

He reached out to grab Snow White, his hand seemingly able to extend infinitely, grabbing Snow White at once…

The next day, the Queen found the Snow Demon and said, “You said you would either freeze Snow White to death or freeze her stiff, but now she’s back at the palace perfectly fine. Snow Demon, you owe me an explanation!”

“Queen, I used all my power, but she didn’t feel cold at all! In the end, I reached out to grab her, but she was so warm that she nearly melted me. What else could I do?”
