The Hunter and the Crow

While Queen Liss was passing through the forest, a hunter fired a shot that frightened her pet crow away.

The queen’s eyes flashed as she shouted, “You have one day to find my crow, or you’re dead!”

The hunter replied, “Don’t worry! I’m a hunter, especially good at catching birds. I don’t even need a day, half a day will do.”

But after searching for a whole day, the hunter found nothing and had to return to the queen dejectedly.

Little did he know, the crow had already returned to the queen.

The queen had even instructed it, “I want to use the hunter to kill Snow White, so don’t let yourself get caught.”

“Don’t worry, master!”

The queen glanced at it and said, “Don’t agree so lightly. Don’t think I don’t know, you love stealing Snow White’s apple pies the most. If she tempts you with an apple pie, you’ll probably get caught.”

“Master, you’re underestimating me! I would never betray you for an apple pie, I wouldn’t even take a bite!”

At that moment, the queen heard that the hunter couldn’t find the crow and took the opportunity to say, “Your whole family is doomed! However, if you can help me kill Snow White, I can spare you all.”

The hunter had no choice but to agree and intercepted Snow White when she passed through the forest…

The next day, the hunter went to see the queen.

“Did you succeed?”

“Yes, I did.”

As the hunter spoke, he presented something covered with a cloth.

The queen smiled, but as soon as she lifted the cloth, her smile vanished.

Inside was a birdcage, and in the birdcage was her crow.

After the hunter left, the queen immediately cursed, “You stupid crow! You said you wouldn’t betray me for an apple pie from Snow White, not even for a bite. How did you get caught? Don’t try to deny it, the apple pie at the corner of your mouth says it all!”

“Master, that’s what I said, but it wasn’t one bite, nor was it one pie. It was ten, ten apple pies! How could I resist such temptation? “
