With so many princes, which one is the true Prince Charming for Snow White?
The queen examined them and asked, “Do you all love Snow White?”
“Of course we do! Snow White is beautiful, intelligent, and lively. Who wouldn’t love her?”
The queen noticed one prince remained silent and asked, “What about you?”
“I don’t love her. I already have someone I love.”
“Then why did you come to the selection?”
“I passed by here last night and got caught in a heavy rain. I heard there was a marriage selection for the princess, and that applicants could stay overnight, so I signed up.”
Queen Liss’s eyes twinkled with an idea: since he doesn’t love Snow White, he surely isn’t her Prince Charming. I could use him as an assassin to kill Snow White.
So, she privately approached him and said, “I know your country is currently under foreign attack and you’re on your way to the battlefield to support. I possess powerful magic that can help you win. The condition is: you kill Snow White for me!”
The prince, hearing she could help him defeat the invaders, agreed without hesitation.
Late at night, as Snow White was about to rest, she noticed an assassin—a dark figure burst in, drawing a sword.
When they faced each other, both were stunned.
Snow White said, “I heard there was a prince sent to kill me. I didn’t believe it, but it turns out to be true, and even more unexpectedly, it’s you…”
“How could I ever kill you? The queen asked me to kill someone, but I would save anyone she wanted dead. That’s why I pretended to agree. Just now, I drew my sword fearing the queen had set a trap. I didn’t expect you to be Snow White…”
It turned out they had known each other and liked each other for a long time, but neither knew the other was a princess and a prince. This was something the queen never anticipated.
