The Magic Mirror said, “Queen, from what I see in the future, Snow White will soon meet the prince, and they will fall in love. Once they get married, the prince will know you tried to harm Snow White, and you will meet a terrible end!”
“This must be stopped!” Queen Liss said viciously. “Since I can’t kill Snow White for now, I’ll kill the prince first! Magic Mirror, show me which country the prince is from.”
A figure appeared in the mirror, but strangely, the face was as blurry as a cloud.
“What’s going on?”
“I… I don’t know either, but Queen, I have an idea. We can arrange a marriage for Snow White. When the prince comes to propose, we’ll catch him!”
But when Snow White heard about the arranged marriage, she immediately protested, “I already have someone I like.”
Queen Liss, however, didn’t care.
As soon as the news of Snow White’s arranged marriage was announced, more than twenty princes came.
The queen was stunned. She said, “There must be many imposters! Who is the real prince?”
The Magic Mirror said, “Queen, we can imitate the story of the Princess and the Pea. Let the princes stay overnight, and place a pea under each prince’s mattress. Whoever feels the pea is the real prince.”
The next day, before the queen could ask, she heard the princes complaining, “There was a pea under the mattress, it hurt so much, I couldn’t sleep all night.”
The queen was surprised, “It seems you are all real princes, except you.”
She stood in front of one man, staring at him, “Only you said you slept well and didn’t notice the pea… How dare you impersonate a prince?”
“What nonsense? I’ve slept on thorns before. If I couldn’t sleep because of a pea, how could I lead an army into battle?”
The queen was about to lose her temper but then noticed the man’s sword, recognizing it as one only the neighboring royal family had. It seemed he was a real prince too.
All twenty-plus were real princes. Which one was Snow White’s Prince?
