The Wolf Coaxes the Kitten to Sleep

In the previous episode, it was mentioned that Ball was held hostage by the Big Bad Wolf at home.

When night fell and it was time to sleep, the wolf was very pleased. He lay in bed, stretched lazily, and said to his wife, “Although today was a bit tiring, we finally caught that little cat. When we catch that demon cat too, we must celebrate properly!”

Just as the Wolf was about to turn off the lights and go to sleep, he heard Ball yelling incessantly.

He reluctantly got up, went to the living room, and approached Ball, saying impatiently, “What’s all this shouting? Don’t you know what time it is? Go to sleep!”

Ball said, “I always have milk before bed. Give me a glass of milk.”

The Wolf blinked, chuckled, and replied, “Do you think this is your home? Or a five-star hotel?”

Ball retorted, “You said you’d provide me with good food and accommodation. Shouldn’t it be better than home or a five-star hotel? If I don’t eat well, sleep well, and get sick, Handsome won’t let you off the hook. Think about the consequences if you don’t take care of me properly.”

The wolf glared at Ball, reluctantly took a glass of milk from the fridge, placed it in front of Ball, and said, “Drink up! Finish it and go to sleep!”

But Ball said, “My mom said I can’t drink cold milk in  winter. Heat it up for me, but not too hot, just warm.”

Suppressing his temper, the Wolf heated the milk in the microwave and placed it in front of Ball.

Ball then said, “How can I drink it if you’ve tied me up?”

The wolf untied Ball’s hands and said, “Drink quickly! Don’t even think about escaping!”

After Ball finally finished the milk, the wolf tied his hands again.

He yawned and was just getting back into bed when he heard Ball shouting again.

Reluctantly, he got up and asked, “What is it now?”

Ball said, “I’m not used to sleeping on chairs. At least give me a bed, okay?”

The Wolf, suppressing his anger, untied Ball’s ropes, lifted him up, threw him onto a bed, tied him up again, and said, “Let’s see what tricks you’ve got now!”

But as soon as the wolf closed his eyes, he heard Ball shouting again.

Rushing over, the wolf said, “What now?”

Ball said, “I feel there’s a pea under the mattress, making my back ache. You have to add another mattress for me, and this blanket isn’t soft enough! Give me a softer one.”

The Wolf said, “Do you think you’re ‘The Princess and the Pea’?”

Ball replied, “The Princess and the Pea slept on twenty mattresses. I just want two.”

The wolf, enduring his frustration, changed the mattress and blanket for Ball, feeling sore and tired.

He lay down, about to sleep, when he heard Ball yelling again.

He rushed over and asked, “What now?”

Ball said, “Tell me a story. My mom always tells me a story before bed.”

The wolf said, “Do you think I’m your mom?”

The next morning, the wolf met his friend.

His friend, looking surprised, said, “Big Bro, why do you have such dark circles under your eyes? You look so pale. Did you not sleep last night?”

The wolf yawned and said, “Don’t mention it. I thought I had captured that little cat as a hostage, but instead, I got a little troublemaker. He tormented me all night, wanted milk, thought he was the Princess and the Pea, and asked me to tell him stories. I haven’t even pampered my own son like this! Now he’s asking for breakfast early this morning. I’m going out to buy it for him! I really want to throw him out of the wolf castle.”

The wolf’s friend said, “Big Bro, you must not fall for his tricks. This clever little rascal is doing it on purpose, trying to get you to throw him out so he can go home!”

The wolf nodded and said, “You’re right, I almost fell for his trick. Thanks for the reminder. I’ll think of a way to deal with him!”

How will the big bad wolf handle Ball? To be continued.
