On a quiet night, the big bad wolf Jimmy and the tiger Tyson tiptoed quietly. One carried a wrench while the other held a pair of pliers, arriving at the door of a house.
Inside lived Mother Belly the goat and her seven little goats.
Jimmy and Tyson had long wanted to eat these seven plump little goats, but never succeeded.
Tonight they planned to break in while the goats were asleep.
They leaned against the door to eavesdrop.
Inside, the seven little goats were comfortably lying in bed, about to sleep. They nagged Mother Belly to tell them a story.
Belly said, “Of course, mommy tells you a story before bedtime every night. Today let’s do Snow White…”
And Belly began the story.
Jimmy and Tyson trembled with excitement. Jimmy said, “Brother, these little brats will fall asleep soon. We can move in quickly and eat that tender goat meat!”
After finishing Snow White, Belly said, “My babies, time to sleep now.”
But the seven goats insisted she tell another one. Belly had to say, “Alright, let me tell ‘The Wolf and The Seven Little Goats’.”
After that story, the goats said, “Mom, one more…”
Jimmy got impatient, saying to Tyson, “Brother, these brats won’t sleep. Let’s just break in…”
Tyson quickly stopped him, “Be patient! Haste makes waste…”
Mother Goat told another story, but the seven goats wanted one more.
Tyson tried to make a move again, Jimmy stopped him again.
…
The next day, when the tiger and wolf woke up, they found themselves sleeping at the goats’ doorstep, the sun already shining on their butts.
Looking around, many animals were watching them, especially the elephant police officer, frowning suspiciously at them.
It turned out last night they had been waiting for the goats to fall asleep to break in. But the goats kept asking Mother Belly for more stories.
Eventually, the seven goats still hadn’t slept while they had dozed off.
Belly discovered them first thing in the morning and immediately called the elephant police.
