Long ago, there was a little deer, smart and lively.
Every day, it ran through the forest, playing and searching for food.
But one day, it felt something was off, as if someone had been staring at it, sending shivers down its spine.
With a quick glance, the deer spotted a tiger hiding in the bushes, watching it closely!
When the tiger realized the deer had spotted it, it lunged towards the deer.
The deer ran for its life, with the tiger relentlessly chasing behind.
Soon enough, the tiger caught up, pinning the deer down and opening its jaws wide to eat it.
The deer cried out, “Hold on! You’d regret eating me now!”
The tiger asked, “Regret? Explain.”
The deer replied, “I’m just a small one. How much meat could I provide you? Wait until I grow bigger, then you can have more meat!”
The tiger, finding the deer’s reasoning sound, released it and even gave it some money, saying, “Take this, buy some good food, and grow fat quickly so I can eat you sooner!”
The deer happily took the money and went to buy candy.
Some days later, the deer was once again joyfully running through the forest when it encountered the tiger again.
The tiger immediately pinned it down and said, “Now that you’ve grown a bit, there’s no reason for you to refuse me eating you, right?”
The deer responded, “If you eat me now, it’s an even bigger loss for you! Because I’m sick, and if you eat me, you’ll catch my illness. Then you’ll have to see a doctor and take medicine every day! Wouldn’t it be better for you to wait until I’m well again before eating me?”
Upon hearing this, the tiger quickly let the deer go, fearing it might catch the illness.
It gave the deer some money and said, “Hurry up, go see a doctor, get well soon, so I can eat you!”
The deer happily took the money and ran off to buy ice cream.
After some more days, the deer was once again joyfully running through the forest when it encountered the tiger yet again.
The tiger pinned it down and said, “You seem to be in good spirits, your illness must have cleared up. There’s no reason for you to deny me eating you this time, right?”
The deer replied, “There is a reason! Because I’ve just recovered from being sick, I’m still so thin. How much meat could you possibly get from me? Wait until I’m fully healthy and have gained some weight, then you’ll have plump deer meat to eat!”
The tiger thought it made sense, so it let the deer go again and even gave it some money, saying, “Hurry up, go buy some nutritional supplements to build up your strength. Once you’ve fattened up, I’ll eat you!”
The deer happily took the money and went to buy potato chips.
After some more days, the deer was still happily running through the forest when it encountered the tiger once more.
The tiger pinned it down and said, “Look at how much fatter you’ve become. You can’t possibly find a reason to stop me from eating you now, can you?”
The deer said, “There’s still a reason. Do you want to eat just one deer, or would you rather eat a whole flock of sheep? I know where a flock of sheep is, and if you spare me, I’ll take you there!”
The tiger agreed, and sure enough, the deer led it to a flock of sheep.
The tiger was thrilled to see so many sheep and dashed towards them.
But then, something unexpected happened. The tiger heard two loud bangs, and suddenly felt a sharp pain.
It looked down to see it had been shot!
As it turned out, the tiger had eaten two sheep belonging to a shepherd.
The shepherd had collaborated with the deer to lure the tiger to that spot.
As soon as the tiger appeared, the shepherd, who had been hiding nearby, shot and wounded it.
The tiger fell to the ground.
The deer, once again, joyfully continued running through the forest.
