Story teaches children to sleep on time.
Once upon a time, there was a clever and lively little pig.
But the pig’s mother was a bit worried because when it came time to sleep at night, the little pig always refused to sleep.
One evening, as bedtime approached again, the pig’s mother said, “Little pig, it’s time to sleep!”
The little pig replied, “I don’t want to sleep! I’m not tired! I want to play a little longer!”
The mother pig said, “Look, it’s already dark outside, everyone else is going to sleep, who will play with you?”
The little pig looked outside and indeed, it was pitch black.
Then he asked, “Why is the sky dark? Where did the sun go?”
The mother pig explained, “The sun has gone down, it’s been working hard all day and now it needs to rest, recharge its energy, so it can shine brightly again tomorrow and provide warmth and light for everyone.”
The little pig then said, “Well then, I’ll go find the little bird to play with.”
The little bird was the neighbor of the little pig and also its good friend, living in a big tree outside its house.
The little pig called out loudly to the little bird, but there was no response.
The pig’s mother said, “Of course, the little bird has gone to sleep too. As the saying goes, ‘The early bird catches the worm.’ It needs a good night’s sleep so it can wake up early tomorrow to catch worms.”
The mother pig continued, “And you, little pig, it’s the same for you. Only by sleeping well can you grow up healthy and maintain enough sleep to listen attentively in class and have the energy to play with your friends. Otherwise, while everyone else is learning and playing, you’ll just end up dozing off, which would be a pity.”
The little pig thought his mother made a lot of sense, so he obediently snuggled into bed and fell asleep.
The next day, as soon as the little pig woke up, it heard the chirping of the little bird.
It looked over and saw the little bird holding a worm in its beak.
Indeed, the early bird had caught the worm.
Feeling warm all over, the little pig glanced outside to see the sun rising slowly, smiling down at it.
That day, somehow, the clever little pig felt even smarter. It understood everything the teacher taught, and even helped other classmates understand too.
Playing with the other children was also particularly enjoyable.
From that day on, the little pig went to bed on time every day.
