The Witch and the Golden Light: Just as Black Dragon Magic Wand Was About to Strike Cinderella, It Was Blocked by a Beam of Golden Light, and the Witch Fled in Fear

After bidding farewell to the fairy and putting on her wings, Cinderella flew westward, searching for the magical book that could defeat the witch.

From the sky, it was easy to spot which house was furthest west. To Cinderella’s surprise, the westernmost house was… the orphanage!

Cinderella said to Fay, “How could this be? How could the magical book be inside the orphanage?”

So Cinderella continued searching the surrounding area.

But they didn’t know the witch was lurking nearby, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. When she saw Cinderella approaching the orphanage, she stopped in her tracks, afraid to come any closer. Yet when Cinderella left the orphanage, the witch immediately followed.

She waved her magic wand, and fierce winds rose all around.

Only then did Cinderella notice the witch. But thanks to the tea she had drunk from the Fairy of Thorn Mountain, the witch’s winds couldn’t knock her down.

The witch sneered, “So, you drank the Fairy of Thorn Mountain’s tea. The wind can’t knock you down—but you won’t be able to handle my Black Dragon Magic Wand!”

Before she finished speaking, she flung Black Dragon Magic Wand toward Cinderella.

Cinderella dashed away, but the wand seemed to have eyes of its own—it chased her relentlessly.

“I’ll handle it!” cried Little Fay, “I’ve been wanting to teach that wand a lesson!”

But Cinderella held him tightly. “You can’t beat it. I won’t let you die at its hands again!”

By then, Black Dragon Magic Wand had nearly caught up to Cinderella. It was about to strike. She let out a startled cry, while the witch grinned wickedly.

But suddenly, a beam of golden light shot out and blocked the wand. Black Dragon Magic Wand fell to the ground the instant it touched the light.

Then the golden light turned and pointed at the witch.

The witch’s expression changed to one of fear. She grabbed the wand and fled at once.

Cinderella let out a sigh of relief. That’s when she realized the golden light had come from the orphanage.

She remembered how last time the witch had chased her to the orphanage too, only to back off in fear. Now she recalled that the orphanage was indeed the westernmost building. Could the magical book really be inside?

As she pondered this, the golden light gathered into a glowing orb, floated in front of her, then began to drift forward—as if it were leading the way.
