The Three Little Pigs 2024

Once upon a time, there was a mother pig with three little pigs. When they grew up, she told them to build their own houses.

The eldest pig built his house in just one day. Mother pig was surprised.

Soon, the second pig finished his house too.

The slowest was the third pig, who took a long time to build his house.

When all three pigs had finished their houses, mother pig decided to visit them.

First, she came to the eldest pig’s house and realized, “You built a straw house! No wonder it only took you one day, but this is not strong enough. A straw house will collapse as soon as the wind blows.”

Next, she went to the second pig’s house. He had built a wooden house.

Mother pig said, “A wooden house is better than a straw house, but it’s still not strong enough!”

Finally, she reached the third pig’s house. He had built a brick house. Mother pig nodded in satisfaction and said, “This brick house is very strong! It’s not afraid of wind, rain, or attacks from wild animals. This is a proper house! ”

Mother pig said to the eldest and the second again, “Your houses are not good enough. You need to learn from your younger brother and rebuild them!”

The eldest and second pigs almost said in unison, “We won’t do that! The brick house is good, but it’s too much work! Brother took so long to build it and had to work hard every day. We’re not that foolish!”

One day, a big bad wolf went to the market and bought various delicious foods. On his way home, he passed through the forest and heard that three little pigs lived there. He decided to eat them.

He first found the eldest pig’s house and shouted at the door, “Little pig, little pig, open the door! I brought you delicious apples!”

The eldest pig was startled and replied, “Do you think I’m a fool? A wolf bringing me apples? You want to eat me! I won’t open the door even if you kill me!”

The big bad wolf laughed loudly and said, “What door do you have? Don’t even mention it! Your straw house will collapse as soon as I blow on it. Since you won’t open the door, don’t blame me!”

The wolf blew on the straw house, and sure enough, it collapsed.

The eldest pig crawled out of the fallen straw and ran as fast as he could to the second pig’s house.

Just as the wolf was about to catch him, he made it to the second pig’s house in time.

The big bad wolf chased after him and thought happily, “Now I have two pigs! I’ll eat them both!”

He pretended to be kind and shouted, “Little pig, we were just playing a race! Open the door, I brought delicious bread and butter, as well as apples. Let’s eat together!”

The second pig replied, “Do you think I’m a fool? You want to eat us! I will never open the door!”

The wolf became furious. Without saying a word, he blew hard at the wooden house, but the house didn’t move at all.

The second pig laughed and said, “My house is not made of straw, it won’t fall just because you blow on it!”

Before he finished speaking, the wolf punched the wooden house, and with a loud crash, it collapsed.

The two little pigs crawled out of the fallen wooden pile and ran desperately to the third pig’s house.

Just as the wolf was about to catch them, they made it inside and slammed the door shut.

The big bad wolf chased after them and thought to himself, “One little pig turned into three! Now I can eat them all!”

He called out from outside, “Little pigs, I was just playing with you earlier, I didn’t really want to catch you. I brought lots of delicious food: apples, bread, butter, and cake. Open the door, and let’s eat together!”

The third pig replied, “Sly wolf, don’t try to fool us. We will never open the door! My house is not made of straw or wood—it’s made of brick, and it’s very strong. You might as well give up and leave!”

The big bad wolf became even angrier. “You ignorant little pig! If I don’t show you my power, you’ll never learn your lesson!”

He puffed up his cheeks and blew with all his might, but it only hurt his cheeks, and the house didn’t move at all.

He then punched the house, but it didn’t budge. Instead, his hand swelled up, and it hurt so much that he howled in pain.

He thought for a moment, then stepped back and charged forward, crashing into the door with all his strength.

But the door didn’t open. Instead, it bounced him backward, and the wolf fell to the ground, dazed and seeing stars..

At that moment, he heard laughter. He looked up and saw the three little pigs sitting inside, sipping tea and eating snacks, clearly laughing at him.

The wolf’s face turned bright red with anger.

The wolf rolled his eyes, coming up with a new idea. He said, “Little pigs, I really just want to be friends with you, not eat you. If you don’t believe me, look! Here are some good things I brought for you!”

He opened his bag, revealing apples, cakes, bread, and butter he had bought from the market. The sight made the three little pigs drool.

But the third little pig said, “We don’t believe you’ll give us those nice things unless you hand them over first.”

The wolf quickly replied, “Sure, of course! But you need to open the door so I can give them to you.”

“You should throw them down the chimney to prove your sincerity. Only then will we open the door,” said the third pig.

The wolf climbed up the chimney and threw the items down. Then, he looked at the chimney and thought, “Why don’t I climb in through here? These silly pigs won’t open the door, but they’ve shown me the back entrance.”

Excited, he started climbing down the chimney. However, thick smoke made him cough, and soon he felt a sharp pain on his rear. To his horror, he realized his tail was on fire!

The third pig had lit a fire when he saw the wolf trying to climb in. The chimney filled with smoke and flames.

Coughing and in pain, the big bad wolf climbed out and fled in a panic.

The three little pigs enjoyed the wolf’s offerings while watching him run away, laughing heartily.

The first and second pigs said, “It seems Mom was right. We should rebuild strong houses just like our brother!”

This story teaches us that we should do things well, not just aim to save time and effort.
