To let the young animals experience the hardships of work, the Animal Kingdom organized an event where they could set up stalls to sell goods.
There were also prizes for the top three sellers, who would receive a cash reward.
Piggy Roly and Lamb Curl shared a stall. Curl sold grapes from his family’s farm, while Roly sold his second-hand toys.
Once they had set up, they noticed that across from them was the little wolf, accompanied by his father, Wolf Dot. They had also come to set up a stall.
The little wolf said to his father, “Dad, I want to eat grapes. I also want that toy.”
He had his eyes on Piggy Roly’s goods.
Wolf Dot walked over, took the grapes and the toy, and started to leave.
Roly and Curl were both anxious and scared.
“We haven’t sold anything yet, but he just took our stuff…”
At that moment, someone blocked Wolf Dot’s path.
It was Officer Elephant, who frowned and said, “You have to pay for what you buy!”
Wolf Dot grumbled but turned around and paid.
Roly and Curl never expected their first sale to be to Wolf Dot, and they were thrilled.
More and more customers arrived, and they managed to sell a few more items, but the little wolf was selling even more.
Curl whispered, “Are our things not as good as the little wolf’s?”
“No, look at how hard he’s working.”
The little wolf showed no hesitation, loudly calling out, “Come buy sushi! Freshly made sushi! Fresh and cheap!”
He even stepped out from behind the stall, enthusiastically offering samples to passersby.
Curl said, “Should we try that too? But I’m a little shy…”
“We should learn from the little wolf and not be shy!”
Piggy Roly cleared his throat and shouted, “Come buy second-hand toys!”
Curl followed, “Come buy grapes!”
At first, their voices were small, but gradually, they grew louder and louder. More customers came, but their stall was still not as lively as the little wolf’s.
“We need to change the way we call out,” Roly said.
He then shouted, “Super cheap, like-new second-hand toys! Come and get them!”
Curl immediately understood and called out, “Fresh grapes, just picked! Big and sweet, come and buy!”
Sure enough, more people came, and soon they had more customers than the little wolf.
Seeing this, the little wolf worked even harder.
At the end of the event, Lamb Curl won first place because his family’s grapes were simply too delicious.
The little wolf took second place, and Piggy Roly came in third. They all received generous prizes.
