The Kitten Looks Like a Little Tiger

One day, Piggy Roly and Kitten Mimi were walking down the road when they saw two wolves. One of them was Wolf Dot, and beside him was a piglet.

Roly looked closely—wasn’t that his neighbor, Little White?

Little White was still very young, even younger than Roly. Something felt off, so Roly quickly pulled Mimi along and hid behind a tree to observe.

They heard one of the wolves say, “How did you trick this little guy?”

Wolf Dot let out a sly chuckle and replied, “I gave him a piece of candy and told him I’d take him to buy more. This silly Piglet just followed me.”

“Aren’t you going to invite your buddy, Tiger Bro, to join you? You two are usually close.”

“Don’t even mention that dumb tiger! Last time, I kindly invited him to sneak into Sheep City with me for a feast, but he believed the lamb’s lies and ended up beating me up! No way I’m inviting him this time.”

Roly whispered to Mimi, “So Little White was kidnapped! We have to come up with a plan to save him before they take him into Wolf City.”

“But Wolf City is right ahead. There’s no time to call the police.”

Roly thought for a moment and said, “Mimi, remember when I first met you, I mistook you for a tiger? You look a lot like one! If you pretend to be Little Tiger, maybe we can scare the wolves away.”

“But I’m much smaller than a real tiger. Will the wolves believe me?”

Roly leaned in and whispered something into Mimi’s ear.

Mimi nodded and swiftly climbed up a tree. From above, he looked down at the wolves and shouted, “Hey! You sneaky wolf! You had something delicious and didn’t even tell my dad? And now you’re badmouthing tigers too?”

The wolf froze and squinted up at the tree. The sunlight was in his eyes, making it hard to see clearly. Half-blinded, he vaguely saw what seemed to be a mighty little tiger standing tall.

His heart skipped a beat. “Are you Tiger Bro’s son? Why do you look so small today?”

“Maybe it’s the sunlight blinding you, or maybe it’s because you’re down there and I’m up here. But I am Little Tiger! Don’t change the subject—I heard you talking bad about my dad! I’m telling him!”

“No, no, good little tiger, dear little tiger, please don’t tell your dad!”

“Fine, I won’t—if you leave the Piglet behind.”

“Oh, so you want the pig? Alright, I’ll give him to you, but you must promise not to tell your dad what I said.”

“Got it. Now, scram!”

The wolves quickly let go of Little White and ran off in a flash.

Just then, Elephant Officer and Little White’s mother arrived.

Little White’s mother gratefully thanked Roly and Mimi, while Elephant Officer said, “Little White, remember—never go with strangers!”
