Animals Build a House

Miss Cloud decided to move to the back mountain and began building her house.

When the animals heard about it, they eagerly came to help.

The Scientist was the first to design the house. When everyone saw the blueprint, they marveled at how beautiful it was.

Next, they needed wood. Piggy Roly said, “A typhoon passed by recently, and I saw many trees knocked down. I can take you there.”

When they arrived, The Scientist said, “Great! Now we don’t have to cut down trees. This saves energy and makes good use of the fallen ones. Smart thinking, Roly!”

Miss Cloud pointed to a large, straight tree and said, “This one looks perfect for building a house.”

Just then, a woodpecker flew down and said, “Not this one! It may look strong, but it’s actually infested with bugs.”

The woodpecker pecked the tree a few times with its strong beak, revealing several holes, each containing insects.

Miss Cloud gasped, “No wonder they call you the ‘Tree Doctor’! Thanks to you, we avoided a big mistake.”

The woodpecker then tapped another tree. “This one is perfect for building!”

Miss Cloud quickly thanked the woodpecker.

The woodpecker smiled and said, “You and the scientist cured my grandmother’s illness. I should be the one thanking you!”

With the woodpecker’s help, they picked out the right wood. But how could they transport it back?

Just then, a voice called out, “Leave it to us!”

It was Officer Elephant and his team. With their long trunks, they easily lifted the wood and carried it away.

Back at the site, The Scientist had the elephants place the wood onto his invention—a wood-cutting machine. Soon, the wood was cut into perfect shapes.

With everything ready, everyone followed the scientist’s instructions and eagerly started building.

As the house grew taller, they reached the roof and realized a problem—it was too high for most animals to reach.

Just then, another voice called out, “I’ll take care of the roof!”

It was Giraffe! Standing next to the house, he was even taller than it.

He said, “Miss Cloud cured my mother’s neck pain. I must help no matter what!”

With everyone’s efforts, Miss Cloud’s house was soon completed—sturdy and cozy!
