The Super Capable Snow White

The next day, the dwarfs went to the forest early in the morning to work.

When they returned home in the evening, they could smell the aroma of food from a distance.

As they entered the yard, they saw freshly washed clothes hanging to dry, giving off a clean and fragrant scent.

Opening the door, they found the house tidied up and sparkling clean.

On the table, a delicious meal was already prepared.

Just then, Snow White came out holding a bowl of soup and said, “You’re back? Dinner is ready.”

One of the dwarfs said, “Snow White is so capable! The laundry is done, the house is cleaned, and dinner is ready. We usually don’t have time for these things. Now we come home, and there’s food waiting for us.”

Another dwarf turned to the dwarf named Canny and said, “You have no reason to object to Snow White staying here anymore, do you?”

All the dwarfs agreed to let Snow White stay, except for Canny, who still opposed it. It was decided that if anyone still opposed her staying after three days, Snow White would have to leave.

“Hmph! Cooking, laundry, cleaning—aren’t these things all women are supposed to know how to do? What’s so amazing about her?” Canny scoffed.

“But she’s a princess. I originally thought she wouldn’t know how to do these things,” one dwarf replied.

“Doing these things is only natural, and it’s her way of repaying us. Does she expect to freeload here? I won’t be polite with her!” Canny retorted.

Canny sat down, picked up a piece of bread, and was about to eat it.

Snow White quickly said, “Wait! You need to wash your hands before eating.”

“I never wash my hands, and I don’t like being told what to do!” Canny replied stubbornly.

…

The dwarfs enjoyed the meal immensely, praising Snow White’s cooking for being so delicious.

But suddenly, Canny clutched his stomach and cried out in pain.

Snow White hurried over. After observing him and asking a few questions, she said, “It’s definitely because you didn’t wash your hands before eating and ended up eating something dirty. I noticed earlier that your hands were filthy. This morning, I saw some medicinal herbs outside that can treat your condition. I’ll go pick some for you.”

With that, she opened the door and dashed out.

Before long, she returned hurriedly with the herbs and brewed them into a medicinal soup for Canny to drink.

After a while, Canny’s stomachache was gone.

The other dwarfs said, “We didn’t expect Snow White to know how to treat illnesses!”

Snow White modestly replied, “It’s just basic knowledge of daily remedies.”

“Well, Canny, you have no reason to oppose Snow White staying here anymore, right?”

Although Canny’s opinion of Snow White had started to change and he felt a bit grateful, he stubbornly said, “That’s a separate matter.”
