After the hunter saved Snow White, he led her into the forest and said as they walked, “Although we’ve escaped the queen’s clutches, I have no idea where you can stay. And with so many wild beasts in the forest, it’s really worrisome!”
At that moment, a voice said, “Go find the dwarves! Stay with the dwarves!”
Immediately, many other voices chimed in, “Yes, that’s right!”
Startled, Snow White and the hunter looked around but couldn’t see anyone.
After much effort, they finally realized it was the flowers, grass, and trees around them speaking.
Snow White exclaimed, “Flowers, grass, and trees can talk?”
“This is the magical forest. Every flower, every blade of grass, every tree can speak!”
The hunter said, “I’ve heard tales of a magical forest, and beyond it lies the home of the seven dwarves. I thought it was just a legend. Could it be real?”
“Of course, it’s real!”
The hunter turned to Snow White and said, “Then let’s go and see if the dwarves would let you stay with them.”
But Snow White replied, “You should head back. If you’re late, the queen will surely become suspicious and cause trouble for you. I’ll go find the dwarves on my own.”
“But I’m worried you’ll get lost.”
The flowers said in unison, “Don’t worry, we’ll guide her!”
“What’s even more dangerous are the wild beasts in the forest.”
The grass responded in unison, “We’ll protect her!”
Reluctantly, the hunter left, still a bit uneasy.
The flowers said to Snow White, “Keep walking straight until we tell you to turn.”
“Turn left.”
“Turn right.”
…
The flowers, grass, and trees guided Snow White like a navigator, leading her to the dwarves’ house.
“Ah!”
Snow White suddenly cried out.
It turned out a young deer had hurt its leg. Limping forward, it looked teary-eyed and in pain.
Snow White quickly said, “Come here, let me take a look at your wound.”
The little deer, seemingly unafraid of Snow White, obediently walked up to her.
After examining the wound, Snow White said, “The wound needs to be disinfected and the bleeding stopped, but there’s no medicine here.”
A blade of grass spoke up, “Use my leaves to cover the wound. My leaves can disinfect, stop bleeding, and ease pain!”
Snow White plucked a leaf and placed it on the deer’s wound. Sure enough, the bleeding stopped, and the little deer’s expression softened as if it were saying, “It doesn’t hurt anymore.”
After seeing the deer off, Snow White continued on her journey to find the dwarves.
At this point, the flowers, grass, and trees liked Snow White even more. They thought she was not only beautiful but also kind-hearted.
When Snow White grew tired, a large tree said, “Lean on me and take a rest!”
When she felt thirsty, a coconut tree dropped a coconut, saying, “Drink my coconut water!”
When she felt hungry, an apple tree tossed down apples, saying, “Eat my apples!”
…
Snow White chatted with the flowers, grass, and trees as she walked, feeling not the slightest bit lonely.
But suddenly, a massive shadow appeared.
It was a tiger!
Snow White froze in fear. When she finally reacted, she turned and ran as fast as she could.
However, there was no way she could outrun the tiger. With a powerful leap, the tiger pounced and grabbed her dress, causing her to fall to the ground.
Just as she thought she was about to be eaten, there was no further movement. Instead, she heard the tiger growling low.
It turned out that, in the nick of time, the grass had extended its vines and quickly entangled the tiger’s limbs.
The tiger roared furiously, struggling wildly, and it looked like it was about to break free. But suddenly, it collapsed and fell unconscious.
It turned out that a flower nearby had released a special scent that caused the tiger to faint.
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
“Don’t be afraid,” said the plants. “We told you we would protect you.”
Snow White thanked them sincerely, then got up and continued on her way.
Not long after, she saw a few figures resting under a tree.
She was surprised to see them—they looked human, but they were very small.
They were the seven dwarves, resting on their way home from work.
